அவையறியார் சொல்லல்மேற் கொள்பவர் சொல்லின்
வகையறியார் வல்லதூஉம் இல்.

அவையின் தன்மை அறியாமல் சொற்களைப் பயன்படுத்துகிறவர்களுக்கு அந்தச் சொற்களின் வகையும் தெரியாது; பேசும் திறமையும் கிடையாது.

Those who undertake to speak without knowing the (nature of the) court are ignorant of the quality of words as well as devoid of the power (of learning).
